No Pete Hollman did not take his first catch of the season although he did blast a belligerent 39! Rather literally lightening did strike several times at first in the distance before suddenly veering around to wash out the match that was well set up.
Pacific 66 for 1 from 16.3 overs
We returned to Bayshills ground on the outskirts of Cheltenham this year reviving memories of JCs quickest ever club 50 there 2 years ago. In humid but sunny conditions skipper Steve Lay opted to bat first in a 40 over game.

However the home side certainly looked improved from previous years and veteran opening pair of Adrian Duthie and Peter Hollman at first struggled against accurate pace bowling from both ends.
Suddenly however conditions changed as a massive thunderstorm provided a dramatic backdrop to play as it seemed to skirt the ground. Hollman in particular took this a signal to accelerate on this fast scoring ground assisted by a number of overthrows.
Just as the rain began falling Hollman rejected the umpires offer to go off and was promptly bowled! The players left the field never destined to return as a heavy downpour rendered the strip unplayable.
Oh my average! moaned the wizened Hollman later. An old pro like me should know better! he grumbled.
MOM Peter Hollman 39 runs in good time.
Packing the Kit Peter Hollman refused to come off and was bowled off the last ball before rain drove the players off!
No Ducks!
Man of the Tour Leon Yates runs, wickets and catches (and no injuries!) for the veteran Victorian!
XI Duthie, Hollman, Marshall +, Lay S *, Campbell, Cowling, Czabotar, Kollosche, Yates, Haill, Davies
