Imran Khan of Sky was indeed My Blue Sky because when he wasn't heaving it from outside off over mid-wicket he was edging it or missing it & he reached his 50 ! The only place to look was up & for once it was grey &/or wet. Sadly for Pacific he & Rizwan knuckled down against impressive opening spells from Comnrad Chandler & Shayne Rees before the carting against Jon Webley but especially Peter Hollman began. Sky ran away with it from 51-3 after 8 overs to 144-4 at the end. Pacific had a similar 1st 8 overs but the compariosn ended there when the tail fell away leaving Pacific all out after 10 overs still 80 runs short Apart from The Skippers' bowling spells the other plus point was the rehabilitation from injury of Nick Fuller who grew in confidence hitting Pacific's only boundary past the left arm change bowler but to be honest Sky had plenty in the tank should they have needed it & Pacific going into the game a player short never seriously threatened despite those fine spells from Rees & Chandler pitch 3 VIII:- Shayne Rees*, Steve Emmins+, Jon Webley, Nick Fuller Conrad Chandler, Peter Hollman & Alistair Pritchard. |
