The League President bore witness to both incidents & cancelled 1 match. Unfortunatley Newham C did not turn up to play Pacific, neither did Caladonian Conquerors to play Chats Palace. So neither round 1 cup match could go ahead. Luckily there was an astute league secretary who is also Pacific's league Captain and thereby, realising the potential of 16 players turning up & not playing, so 1 more league match played to ease the now immenent fixture mess.
Onwards... P win the toss & Steve Lay with a steadfast 47 & a fair dose of flair from David Austin despite the loss of 5 wickets did Pacific post their 2nd 140 + total in consecutive weeks.
This should have been too much but CP were 55-1 off 5 overs. No more & David Austin again is the key man with a lovely spell of 2-6. This blows all Chat's chances as the wickets get shared out to 5 bowlers. Nearly forgot to mention. Dave took the highest steepler to break that key partnership & dismiss the dangerous Johnny, Davies the lucky bowler. Comfy win that leaves P in 2nd place in the division behind Newham B. Now to sort out that fixture chaos.....
