The typical English Summer rain abruptly ended at 6.30pm, so luckily, the game began at 6.50pm & the overs were reduced to 12 per innings, which was very convenient for the participants on both sides who had made the journey. Especially so for Peter Hollman who lead Pacific's batting with an onside slogged 52 off 28 balls & dutifully followed by a brisk 28* off 20 balls from new no 3 & new keeper Adrian Duthie. Of the bowlers , only Sam was able to notch any success when Matt Calender was caught & bowled for 10.

When Chats batted, the light got gloomier & Captain Roberts & fellow seamer Bastin kept the reply in check despite Gary Horsman (14) & Darryl (7) 's best efforts. At 25, Hill caught Horsman at mid on off Bastin & the momentum was lost , before both Hollman & Hill picked up wickets as the required rate continued to climb. It was still a dissapointing fielding effort with no less than 7 catches of variying difficulty going down. Pacific will have to do a lot better when they meet Highgate in the cup next week.
