James Gleadow, Pacific's representative, reports " attended a meeting of the Islington Cricket Development group tonight to represent Pacific.

There were reps from the Council, Access to Sports, Enterprise and the Middlesex CB. The meeting was very positive. It seems that there is a good opportunity to apply for funding from the ECB to improve Wray Crescent - such investment would possibly involve a five year agreement between the ECB and Islington CC.

It is likely that there will be an application for a new pavillion. There may be applications for nets or a turf wicket. There is also interest in having a non-turf wicket elsewhere in the borough.

The idea of merging with Islington CC was raised - for one reason it would improve the opportunities of obtaining funds for Wray Crescent.

The group will have its AGM on February 10th and seek to approve a constitution and a development plan at that meeting. The Chair will report at the AGM and ask for the Committee to have the authority to take matters further."
