Pacific v Edmonton at Edmonton CC  Sun 26-Jul-1998

Nigel Wilkinson won the toss & batted 1st on what was a true hard surface.

P : 208-7 dec. T Mileham 87. M Alexander 50* Porter 5-0-35-2
E : 210-3. Turner 62. N Wilkinson 10-0-52-1

Edmonton bowled 53 overs & the slow scoring, with the notable exception of top scorer Tim Mileham meant an under par declaration to which Nigel had no choice. The opening partnership between Tim & Peter Hollman of 110 was followed by the fall of 3 wickets for 3 runs as the spinners Lucas & MacArthur bowled tight & contained. Mike Alexander finally accelerated scoring 41 from the last 21 balls he faced as gentle off break bowler Porter picked up 2 late wickets.

Edmontonšs bating looked altogether more assured as all top 5 made solid contributions. indifferent ground fielding bar Tim Mileham (again) lead as Edmonton picked up easy singles, finally strolling home with plenty to spare.
