Sad news for all racing fans as Dave Murray has pulled-up lame in advance of his big race showdown against Jim Davies on Presidents Day. Murray - who instigated the race in response to what he felt were unkind remarks about his speed between the wickets - has been forced to back out due to the overburdening handicap of carrying so many complimentary tickets around.

"I'm devastated to miss the race," said Murray "but the weight of the tickets is just unbearable - so I have to get rid of them as soon as possible by going to as many freebies as I can!"

"Obviously I would have liked to have beaten Dave fair and square!" added an equally disappointed Davies, who appropriately wins by a walkover! "Perhaps carrying that many tickets around explains the difficulties Dave's had with running this year! Davies concluded.
