Home Grounds.

Following my oversight & failure to mention our home grounds in my secretary’s report at the AGM, I can confirm that Wray Crescent will see a maximum of 4 games as support for the venue has not strengthened. However, It is still generally believed that is a convenient site for early season matches when grass pitches where playable are slow & low, & the artificial pitch is a far better transference from indoor nets. With that in mind, the Seniors Juniors is scheduled for Sat 12th April. It had been in my mind to arrange matches for both the following Good Friday & Easter Monday (18/4 & 21/4) but if I cannot, would members like to put back the Seniors v Juniors game to Easter Monday ? Whether you intend playing in those games or not, I would be grateful for your feedback. Gracies on 3/5/03 could then be the only other early season match here. As ever, I will continue to advocate the ground for our home VPCCL matches. We then return here for a one-off match on 20/9/03. As for the pitch itself, I will shortly be contacting LBI Greenspace for a review of the status of repairs to the pitch to correct the sagging at the sides.

Queens College.

Just the 2 home games (+ 2 away) here v UCS Old Boys on 3/8/03 & Crossbats, now on 6/9/03.

Matches against Washington & Black Rose (+ an away game against the hosts) make up our matches here.

Gonville & Cauis.

Following on from last year’s match against London Hospital Griffins, this year the ground will host the special Presidents XI match.

Civil Service Ground, Dukes Meadows, Chiswick.

New Barbarian Weasels' dissatisfaction with Wray Crescent lead to my agreeing to use this ground for our “home” game. The away game at Berrylands remains unaffected.
