From the well-travelled venerable Welshmen

"France this year was - I think - a great success. I asked a while ago if anyone was interested in going next year and there was a positive response from those who went this year - but unfortunately the Griffins are going to Dartmoor next year and so will not be going.

Looking ahead to 2005 - I have to be realistic about the amount of time I'll have - with 2 kids and plans to move Down Under to look after. So without Matt organising the Griffins I think booking the house in France and trying to fill it will be a bit too much for me to volunteer to do. I'm happy to help anyone else who wants to organise it - or alternatively look into the festival in Spain the XL club run in October.

Finally - after Braden made off with the batting award and Martin ended up joint-top wicket taker - the Griffins have extended an invite to all to come with them to Dartmoor in early June. They play one evening game and 3 proper games - staying in the Fox & Hounds pub. The highlight game is probably playing Tavistock on top of a tor surrounded by standing stones and sheep.

Anyway - any ideas gratefully received."
