Physio previously diagnosed Gilmore's Groin: "This is a severe mesculo-tendinous injury of the groin first recognised by Jerry Gilmore following the successful treatment of three professional footballers in 1980 who on operation all had the same pathology and after sugery all returned to playing within seven weeks.

Now, however, after a second opinion was provided by a more experienced physiotherapist, the dignosis is that Haill has a weak core and overly tight hamstrings, hip flexors and hip adductors. A course of streatching and strenthening has been prescribed and improvement are expected in a month or so; frighteningly for future opponents, this should see substatntial improvements in power and speed for Pacific's Runner-up Fielder of the Season 2003/4 and 2004/5.
