Tower Ravens' appeal against their exclusion from the Victoria Park Community Cricket League has lead to their successful re-introduction to this season's league fixtures. Payment was received by the League Secretary only hours before the deadline following their interpretation of a league rule loophole whereby full payment must be received before the first league fixture.

This season the league structure is a single division of 12 sides which is now 13. Tim Castle is currently exploring ways of supplementing the current fixtures with the additional fixtures. The most likely outcome of which will require the original 12 to play 2 fixtures in one given week although the cup may be put back until late July now.

Additionally, 2 pitches in Victoria Park are out of commission although one is due to be repaired by the middle of May. Pacific's fixtures remain largely unaffected but I have requested we either play them in July before the cup or on Monday 10 June. (Hackney Grasshoppers 1 is scheduled for the following Thursday). Meanwhile, in the cup we hav been drawn against Stoke Newington on 18/7/02.
