A return to winning ways
Pacific v Dorset Wanderers at Hazelbury Bryan  Sun 05-Jun-2016 at 1pm
Won 75 runs

Day 2 of the Dorset tour saw an ultimately comfortable victory on a baking hot day at a nice venue with a good pub. We were surprisingly inserted. A slow and steady start against a range of bowlers including a nine-year-old opening bowler left us about 40 for 3 off 20. Once again it was left to Toby and Jon to show us how to bat. Toby was imperious before being mistakenly adjudged caught behind off his thigh pad. Our umpires are about the oppo's only chance of getting him out at the moment. Still, he seemed happy enough, telling anyone who'd listen that his third six of the day had brought him level with Darren Tempany's tally of 110 maximums for Pacific. Jon was out to his dad. Nuggsy, having just about recovered from walking six miles to the game, talking to the animals as he went, ensured the tailed wagged a little. Unfortunately our No 11, a certain J Silva, was out hit wicket, meaning we were all out for 129, which Nuggsy did not think sufficient. However, Shaz snared a couple of wickets whilst Phil gave nothing away and the Wanderers' innings never got going. Nuggsy hobbled in to wrap up the tail with his off spin netting 4-11.
