Shortly before the club crossed the channel, the votes for the League Player of the Season were counted after the match against J P Morgan at Highgate. It was a shame if anyone who could have voted didn't because it would have made a difference maybe because 2 players were tied - the inimitable Jon Webley & Club newcomer Justin Roy. The Midweek Captain had to use his casting vote & the Club Captain nicked it on the basis that he'd played more games. Hopefully an incentive to the rest of us also rans in 2009 !
