P¹s 99 league campaign faltered in the 2nd game in a match that appeared
lost, then won, but then lost off the penultimate delivery.

A slow start had
P at 40-1 at the 1/2 way point, after which Steve Lay & David Murray
accelerated picking off the change bowlers.The total did seem too low as CC
reached 40 after only 4 overs mainly due to Andy¹s pinch hitting
style.
Debutante, Levi Smith & David Murray though came back excellently &
the win seemed certain as CC now needed 30 from 12 balls with just 2 wickets
in hand. Simon Holliday¹s final over went for 14 despite another wickets.
Now 16 required with the final pair on strike. It was too much for Peter
Hollman as CC scored the runs required with a ball to spare. P were left to
rue sloppy ground fielding, overthrows & a dropped catch on the mid wicket
boundary in the final over. Not pretty.
