Robbie Book and I had a very good meeting with Stuart Turner, the General Manager, at South Herts earlier in the week to see how confident he was that we could hold our CCC charity golf day there on Thursday 22nd October.
Assuming that we do not encounter any more lockdowns or change in government advice the event is ON.
They have convinced us that they can hold the day in a totally secure Covid environment and will be operating the following;
A one way system in the clubhouse.
A marquee on the patio
Tables spaced to comply with social distancing
Waitress service for both drinks & food.
A limit of 18 teams of four.
The captain of each team will be required to register his team and provide contact telephone numbers for track & trace
Pre allocated seating plan
Showers will be closed but WC’s open and therefore no need to change out of golfing clothes and shoes should be changed in the car park
Regular hand sanitiser stations.
No sharing of buggies.
We will also be operating the golf competition under the latest guidance from England Golf and probably with only one team card required, no touching of the flag sticks, rolling over on the fairways and moving the ball up to 6 inches in the bunkers.
You have entered a team from your club so it would be helpful to have their names and mobile telephone numbers .
In addition it would be more than helpful if you could arrange payment of £320 to The club Cricket Charity and at the same time let me know that you have done it
If for any reason the rules change and we are prevented from holding the day you will get a full refund.

We are now sold out and are hopeful that we shall get good weather on the day which will make life a little easier.
Nearer the time we shall send out tee and table allocations and provide any specific rules for the competition and also ask for any dietary requirements.
It is going to be slightly different this year but we are delighted that we can hold the event and are indebted to South Herts Golf club and their Captain for their generosity
