Riz has been in touch with Winchmore Hill today & have told them in what we hope is still good time that we are unable to fulfil the fixture.
Last year, our Sunday League folded & we were unable to find a new one for this & we saw the BJT as a replacement, however, we have been unable to attract an XI of sufficient calibre to compete & believe that’s still due to the mismatch against Hoddesdon on the previous occasion we entered.
I appreciate that we will no doubt forfeit our entry fee but wanted to provide a fuller explanation as to our decision & hope we will not be judged in an adverse light.
Many thanks & good luck with the competition
