Earlier this month, the CCC annual golf tournament took place at Lambourne GC which included an array of bone fide golf clubs but a well represented set of cricket clubs including ones such as Eastcote & Chigwell who we've played in the past. Indeed Chigwell had rested our title off us in 2023 so it was a solid set of performances from Darryl Roberts, Adrian Duthie, Steve Emmins & Peter Hollman all of which picked up solid scores at the right time to bring the trophy home. Points are accrued based on handicap & the 2 highest scorers in a team of 4 on each hole are added to give an overall total which this year was 95. A true vindication of a rankings system that has been running throughout the year & the 4 highest ranked players came home with the cup. On the day Adrian lead with the points contributing 32.16, then Pete with 24.43, Steve with 20.3 & Darryl with 19. Not shabby at all!
