On a steamy afternoon in the Royal Park things were not going well for Pacific who crumbled to 67-7 and 100-8 in the 23rd over , however a belated recovery was underway....  led initially by Faisal and Manav with a 33 run partnership , carried on by Riz and Manav resulting in a 68 run partnership with a superb 34 by the latter and finally, reprising their 10th wicket stand of 2 weeks ago , Ahmed and Rizwan put on 43.  111 runs for the final 2 wickets resulting in a total of 211, some going from the tail.

With the momentum secured into the break ,  the opening duo of Akash and Hishaam tore through the LUS top order leaving them a sorry 3-3 in the 3rd over, a wicket apiece for Faisal and Riz before the real star of the bowling attack , the Guildford A bomb - aka Ahmed Hussein - unleashed his full repertoire of leggies, zooters, googlies and flippers upon the happless LUS middle and lower order bagging a fully deserved five-fer and the match ball. Special mentions to Zee for batting around 14 overs and his mate from Stanford Le Hope , debutant keeper Michael Edwards who was superb behind the stumps and picked up 4 catches with zero byes.
