Please help me raise money for young refugees in Lebanon - sponsor me and Hugh on our sleep out at Lords.
On Thursday 27th February my son Hugh and I will be taking part in a sponsored sleepout at Lord's cricket ground, sleeping rough in the stands to raise money for Alsama, a charity which educates young Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Beirut.
Some of you will have heard of Alsama which was set up by Meike Ziervogel and Richard Verity, friends of ours - they do amazing work in very difficult circumstances, giving hope to a rising generation of displaced war torn teenage refugees, by providing them them with education and empowerment, the tools one day to be able to rebuild their shattered countries.
If you feel able to donate any amount, we would be extremely grateful, here are links to our fundraising pages:
I apologise in advance for any of you who have already been contacted by me or Hugh on WhatsApp, as you can understand, this is a belt and braces operation!
Best wishes,
Doug & Hugh.
