FYI The following have replied to the invitations sent out. "With the Super Series in Aus going on, you may not have thought that anyone is still playing over here ? - we'll we are & so can you.
I have Wray Crescent (an artificial pitch in Islington) provisionally booked for Saturday 15th October noon start & 12 players available (so far).
Ideally, we would like to host an opposition but if that's not possible, I'll look to recruit another 10 individuals so we can field 2 teams.
So - if you think your club is interested or there are individuals amongst you & those you know who are, please let me know."
THE REPLIES
Matt Clark / Griffins CC "Great idea but already busy on the 15th. How is France shaping up?"
Alistair Wright / Crossbats CC "Peter - very kind but you are obviously completely mad"
Paul Sinclair / Priory Park "By the way I admire your committment playing on."
Red Saunders "Caledonian Conquerors CC "No can do Peter...Red Callys "
Joe Phelan of Highgate CC said "Our season is definitely over now.
But - if you get two captains I would be happy to email our membership and say that you are looking for players and anyone intereted should contact you directly - or one of the captains. I would have thought you'd be able to pick up atleast a couple of players that way, maybe more. let me know if we can help in that way. "
