Mike Shannon has confirmed that no Old Citizens CC players will be able to join in this event but there's still enough of an intent on my part to raise an XI godwilling. I did hear that the Hackney NELCL match might be rescheduled to this date so recruiting will only commence if not the case.
We played Penn St a Buckinghamshire village team recently and one of their players had played with James Gleadow in the Law Society team.
He gave a short speech and we raised a glass to James.
For next year's proposed game will do my best to get out playing for us some of the players who played with James. A lot of them sadly are not playing any more and a number of them are good players too. This season has been a struggle.
I can't make it myself that day as I am attending a reunion.
Regards
Mike Shannon
